Tips On Becoming Successful

In the society of today, people associate success to mean the acquisition of cars, having millions of dollars, euros or pounds in your account and building mansions for yourself; More so, being a celebrated personality in any organisation or the other. This is recognized as being successful in the world today.

People count on this without giving attention to the spiritual aspect. These accolades have really destroyed the future of our younger generation, as everyone of them now seem to covet this height either by hook or crook without considering the effects.

A massive question then comes to mind: how does the bible view success?

The book of Acts 17:28 states that “For in him we live, and move, and have our being, as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

This blog is meant to enlighten my reader to educate our young people on what true success is, with our base on God’s point of view, and not with worldly ideology as seen today.

Additionally, the book of Matthew 16:26 says, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?”.

It is clearly stated that what we call success, isn’t the way God sees it. It is very detrimental to gain earthly wealth and finally lose your soul to eternal destruction.

Every young man or woman aspiring to be on the train of success should honestly ask him or herself a question: either to go on the Godly pattern or be on the fast lane?

To be honest, it’s a beautiful thing for us – adults – to teach our youths what true success is in the biblical view or otherwise, the unbelievers out there will enlighten them.

The quest for being successful on one platform or the other has risen the hunger for our youngsters to search for success.

Let them know that worldly success contradicts God’s divine plan and purpose for their lives. For example, assuming the boy Joseph yielded to the lustful desires of Potiphar’s wife, what do you think would have been his destiny?

In today’s society, the world would have tagged it “worldly success”, but before God, it is sin and not success.

Practical Tips On Success For Our Youths

As parents or elderly person, teach them first of God’s plan for their lives. Show them the picture of what he has in mind for them through his word.

Jeremiah 29:11 is an amazing chapter for them. It quotes, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”.

Encourage them to always stand on the beautiful promises of God upon their lives through reading the bible always.

Thirdly, imbibe the habit of fellowship together.
Attend church services together: don’t leave them behind. Who knows, God might change their minds towards Ungodly desires

Finally teach them about Eternity.
However, let’s also bear in mind that heavenly perspectives of things are more treasure-able compared to earthly acquisitions.

It is important to note that acquiring success without God is unprofitable.

Therefore, think of Eternity, think of Godly success.

Shalom.
