Keys To Living In The Present Moment

Choosing to live in the present moment means you get the power or freedom of no longer worrying about what happened in the past and not fearing what will happen in the future.

When we put in much concentration and attention on the present we focus on the task at hand. We give our full energy and attention to what we are doing and we let go of outcomes.

Seizing each opportunity or moment in life allows us to prolong its value and make life more meaningful to us. Rather than seeking out the quantity of time; when we live in the moment, we enjoy every minute. We shouldn’t choose or sacrifice quality for quantity.

  1. Forgive Your Past

Learning to forgive yourself or forgiving past deeds goes a long way. If you keep remembering the past and blaming yourself for it, it could make you be in a stagnant position. Also, if you are harbouring and holding on to resentment towards another human being because of past hurts, choose the path of forgiveness and move on. Learn to let go and choose to be very present in each moment.

2. Stop Worrying

If you can’t learn to appreciate each day, you will worry too much about tomorrow. Don’t forget that tomorrow is going to happen whether you worry about it or not. And since worry has never accomplished anything for anybody, redirect your mental energy to making yourself always happy.

3. Conquer Unnecessary Addictions

Addictions in your life keep you hostage. They hold you back from living a completely free life and redirect your focus from the moment. Take the steps, (baby steps) and remove the influence over your life. Allow yourself to live in the moment of being addiction-free.

4. Appreciate Each Moment of The Present

Learn to be grateful for the things of life. Enjoy as much of today as you possibly can; the sights, the sounds, the fragrance, the emotions, the triumph, and the sorrow; these are in our daily lives but we often forget to take them in and truly appreciate them. Always be grateful.

5. Always Smile

Always remember that each day is full of endless possibilities! Start it with a smile. You are in control of your life, make it an attitude every morning to keep reminding yourself of being optimistic and expectant. Be Positive about it and you’ll find yourself doing it every day without even realizing it.

Living in the moment reminds us to be more mindful of wherever we happen to be. We live with more inner peace when we make room for the full range of our human experience.
