Kindness Is A Christian Virtue

Kindness, One of The Beautiful Christian Virtues.

Reading through social media posts, and national dailies we see so much anger, wickedness and incessant killings rising up, it seems like all the kindness in the world has been taken away.

The painful thing is, we say things on the internet that we would never say to a person’s face.

We argue about everything under heaven, and it feels at times that people have forgotten one of the basic rules in the bible, “be kind one to another.”

God encourages his people to be kind to one another, even enemies.

Many bible verses allow God to speak to hearts on the importance of kindness, which in the end leads to good in the world.

“The Lord bless you, my daughter “, he replied. “This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier: You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor”, (Ruth 3:10 KJV).

Therefore, as God chosen people holy and dearly loved, clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Colossians 3:12 KJV)

Kindness Is A Beautiful Christian Virtue

We can choose to be the hands and feet of Christ by sharing the kindness that he has modelled for us.

Kindness is simply love in action, and we are called above all else to love.

A Question comes to mind, how do we make that choice come? It’s one thing to say we are going to choose kindness, but how do we practically live that choice out?

Your kindness will reward you, but your cruelty will destroy you. (Proverbs 11:17)

When we are unkind to others, when we don’t show love, care and goodness, we are the ones who truly suffer.

What if we could focus and be intentional about doing our very best to model the compassion Jesus displayed.

Our world would look radically different if we did! And the verse above tells us we will be rewarded when we do so. Life would be beautiful when we are kind.

Being kind draws people to us and God. Kindness changes people’s hearts and it heals a broken relationship. It also makes people feel loved and respected. It bring reunion to separated family and friends.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV)

Let try to be kind to people around us so we can win their hearts to Christ.

God bless you as you choose to show someone love today
