How often do we pray? If possible, there should be times in each single day that we pray. The main reason for prayer is petition, asking God for something. Prayer is an act, not just an attitude. The bible has recorded a lot about prayer and has said a lot about prayer.

It’s the way of communicating our needs, thoughts, and desires to him. It’s a means of talking to God. It’s an avenue, a path, a way God has created or provided for believers of making known their greatest and deepest feelings in their heart.

Prayer is an invitation to come holy before our heavenly father for he knows our needs and always long to hear our voice. God hears us and give responses to our prayers because he is faithful and merciful, and he has compassion on us for we are his children.

Prayer is not some sort of ritual that solemnly depends on closing the eyes and looking holy. We don’t really have to kneel or sit. We can do our prayers while working, driving, or even walking.

God gives respond to a seconds prayer for help just the same way he gives responses to a lengthen focused prayer. Praying to God doesn’t and mustn’t have to be complicated. God listens to every word of prayer offered to him.

Prayer is an avenue by which we commune with God. It is a medium where we become intimate with God. Prayer is seen as a daily spiritual performance as Christians. It is also a life-wire that connects us divinely to God.

Bringing it down to our children; Children are a gift, an amazing blessing from God. Therefore, each passing day, we may find ourselves doing a lot for our children, such as, loving and caring for them, nurturing, teaching, training, helping, leading, equipping, encouraging, protecting and so much more.

Although, we spend money on them for different activities in order to help them grow physically, mentally and otherwise but in the midst of our busy schedules, we should never forget to include our children in our prayers, we should never underestimate the importance of speaking positive words and showering prayers of blessings upon their lives daily. It is important to have a prayer guidelines that will deliver results.

Prayer Guidelines:

1. Godly Relationships, Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. Proverbs 13:20.

2. Obedience to Parents, Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Ephesians 6:1.

3. They are for Signs and Wonders, Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for Signs and Wonders in Israel, from the Lord of hosts who dwells in Mount Zion. Isaiah 8:18.

4. Living a Sincere lifestyle, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32.

5. Being Loveable, Behold, what manner of love the father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons and God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1.

6. God’s protection over their lives, The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalms 121:8.

7. For Longevity, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Psalms 118:17.

8. Living a Righteous life, Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Psalms 119:9.

9. knowing the purpose of God upon their lives, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11.

10. The wisdom of God upon them, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10.
